A Magnolia Card for Easter

I've been busy over the past couple of weeks, and not in making cards.

 The GCSE exams are fast approaching and I'm trying to cram two years school knowledge of multiple subjects, into one carefree teenager, over one month.

 Now that's going some! 

I've painted Tilda with distress inks and framed her with Spellbinder Dies, adding a couple of little pearly hearts. The basket is a doohickey die from an Autumn box, the leaves are also.

Flowers are a mix from my stash, gathered over the years. I found some daffodils  hiding in one of the boxes and they add a nice splash of colour to match the chicks.

The papers are Maja and the shape has been cut using Go kreate dies.

There is some cotton lace, a doily and a double bow with a pearly centre.

                    This has been a short post, hopefully a longer one when I have more time.

SELFIE TILDA ~ A MAGNOLIA TILDA CARD

SELFIE TILDA

Yesterday I inked up one of my new Tilda's and made this card, I hope you like it.

Selfie Tilda has her phone always in her hand, just like someone we all know...

I painted her with distress re-inkers and added some glamour dust to her shoes and phone

.

 Apologies for the wonky card, I was trying to balance it and take a photograph at the same time! The papers are Maja and I am desperate to buy more....no one has a choice collections in the UK and I adore Maja papers. The easel shape is cut with GoKreate dies and the daisy border die is Joy Craft, cut and separated to form a circle. The tag on the base opens for a greeting.



There is cheesecloth around the image, a paper doily to one side, some cotton lace, a lace bow with a pearly heart, a painted wooden heart and pink and white flowers with Doohickey leaves.

 A SPRING CARD

Its been a cold but sunny day here in London. 

I'm looking forward to spring and showing a card I made a few weeks back. 

I hope you like it.

The card and Maja papers were cut with GoKreate Dies.

Most of the dies are Doohicky apart from the butterflies.

The tag is removable.

Tilda was pinted with distress re-inkers, and I have scattered gems and pearls onto the image. Pretty lace is added for a girly feel.

The tag opens for a secret message.

Pokadoodles Winnie Just For You

 Pokadoodles Card

This is the first Pokadoodles Stamp I have bought, and now I have ordered four more. 

Looks like i'm hooked, having fallen in love with little Winnie.

 I have used matching Pokadoodles papers. 

The card is cut using GoKreate dies and i have added a border of butterflies above it.

A paper doily, a small painted wooden heart, a white lace bow and a wider lace trim finish the card, with some flowers and roses in matching colours to the image.

On the base of the easel is a tag cut with a Magnolia die. I made it to open for a secret message and topped it with another lace bow, with a pearly heart.

 Winnie has been painted with distress inks on watercolour paper, with Glamour dust on her petticoat and daisies.

Love this sweet image!

Happy Weekend Everyone

Well it's been awhile since I updated my blog, six months in fact. I've had problems with the retina of my eye, which made outlines blurry. I'm glad to say that it seems to have healed enough to let me paint again, so i'm back making my cards. I have missed it so much!

I made this Christmas card with Tilda and little Rudolph. and painted the image with distress inks. adding lots of Glamour Dust for snow...I love this stuff!

The papers are from Maja Design and i've made them into an easel card using Go Kreate dies and cutting down the papers.

I've also used Spellbinder, Marianne and the deer are from Joy Craft dies, lace and pearls, red velvet roses, cones and berries, gesso and Liquid Pearls. 

So I hope to get back to using my blog again now

and look forward to catching up with every one.

Spring Wedding Tilda ~ The Happy Couple

Hi Everyone

Well its Friday again... this week has flown by.

March holds so much promise as the days go by.

The clocks alter soon and we will have lighter evenings and warmer weather.

The card I am showing today is a wedding card. Tilda and Edwin are saying their vows in the church, where the sun streams through the window.

 

 

I painted the image with distress re-inkers and added Crystal Glamour Dust to her dress. I kept it simple {for me}, as I wanted the image to say everything. The shape and papers were cut with GoKreate dies, the flower border and branch is made with Noor and the mat is Spellbinder. Papers are Pion Design, which I am using a lot at the moment as I love the additional sheets of ephemera. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley. All I had to add was flowers, lace and pearls.

Hi Friends

 

Well, that's the end of  'The Beast from The East', that dumped so much snow here in south east England. Thank goodness! Now we can look towards Spring. Yay!

 

So here's a Spring like card, made with one of my favourite stamps. I still like the new Magnolia stamps but feel they have become very similar and not at all like the older designs.

What I loved about Tilda was her originality; little dresses and different poses...I miss them.

 

This is Tilda with Heart Flowers.

 

 

So Tilda was painted with distress re-inkers. I've used Pion Design papers, and matched the distress inks and flowers to the papers. Theres some chipboard in there, lace, flowers and die cuts; Noor, branches and back circle; Spellbinders, matting; and Go Kreate, card shape.

The sentiment on the base opens and is held in place by a lace butterfly.

Well that's about it.

A Second Valentine Card

Hello Everyone

 

Its almost the weekend and the schools break up for half term today. I'm so looking forward to Spring and it wont be long now! 

Valentines Day is next week and so I have another Valentines Card to share.

 

 

Its another easel card, with a mix of Maja and Pion Design papers.

The stamp is from Magnolia,'Tilda with Heart Flowers'; painted with distress re-inkers on watercolour paper. The dies are Noor; love this branch die, and the embellishments are from my craft stash. I made a postcard Tag for the base for a special message.

My first card for 2018 uses two Magnolia Tilda stamps masked together.

 

 

The papers are by Maja Designs, Sweden, cut with GoKreate dies and the butterfly die is Noor Design. I painted Tilda with distress inks adding tiny gems to her flowers.

The seam binding bow holds a pearl and diamanté embellishment.

The inside is finished to match the front.

CHRISTMAS ANGEL TILDA

 

This is my second card from the new Christmas Maggies; such a sweet little stamp. Her wings cry out for Glamour Dust and Stickles and we are allowed to use this liberally at Christmas!

 

I admit to going a bit overboard with this card and adding lots of seasonal joy.

However, I held back on lace this time! The Wild Orchid Craft flowers and holly leaves have added berries and pine cones. The shabby bark stars have white pearls to match the pearl string draped around Tilda. The seam binding bow holds a heart and an angel charm.

Dies; The card was cut with GoKreate dies, matted to textured white card. I think the border die is an old Marianne die, not sure...Snowflakes and main doily die are Joy Craft.

Angel Tilda was painted with distress inks with added liquid pearls and Glamour dust.

Papers are Maja Design.

NEW MAGNOLIA TILDA AUTUMN COLLECTION 2017

 

Happy Dance,; my new stamps are here and they are so sweet and Christmassy! I had to stamp them up right away, and so far I've made two cards. One with the Christmas Angel Tilda and another with the Gingerbread Tilda.

So today, I thought we would do the cute little Gingerbread Tilda. I've given her a gingerbread man to hold, and added two peppermint sticks to match the sentiment.

Now, I know traditionally she should be brown but never to be one to follow, I've painted her red. Because she told me to..ha-ha x

 

Isn't this stamp a cutie!

So lets list; a triple seam binding bow with pearly heart, A double sided Christmas stocking charm, with gingerbread man and peppermint canes, Roses and flowers from my stash with a cinnamon stick and tiny pine cones...collected on my travels; and berries. The lace is from the Ribbon Girl as is the seam binding and Glamour Dust.

Dies: Card cut with GoKreate dies, Fancy star and circle are Joy Craft dies and the holly leaves. I believe are Marriane dies, though I've had them so long its hard to remember.

Those gorgeous papers are from Maja Design of Sweden, layered onto white textured card.

 

The Gingerbread Tilda

 

Gingerbread Tilda was stamped and painted onto watercolour paper. The medium is Tim Holtz distress re-inkers with added Glamour dust for sparkle and liquid pearls for snow.

Magnolia Tilda With Christmas Roses

This is my latest Magnolia Tilda Card for Christmas.

I've made it a little bigger than usual by adding die cut borders and papers. Its a little bit special.

The Papers are from Maja Design and I've added white Christmas roses and pine cones, berries and holly leaves.

Tilda has been painted with distress inks.

Good Morning

 

The clocks have gone back an hour here in the UK, so it's lighter in the mornings but will be darker earlier in the evenings.

The first sign that Winter isn't far away.

 

Todays card is another Christmas card. I know its Halloween, but not many folk send cards for this occasion here...hence so many Christmas cards.

 

I hope you like this Magnolia Tilda. Once again painted with distress inks on watercolour paper. There is a range of doilies, dies, pearl stringing, lace and glittered velvet ribbon. The bow holds a rhinestone snowflake.

This Easel card was made a few weeks ago and uses a contemporary colour scheme of Lilac and blue. The poinsettias' Tilda is holding are glittered and really stand out.

The light  is vey bad today her in London, which makes the card look dull.

Its anything but in real life.

The opening tag on the base is hidden by an organdie bow and a rhinestone snowflake.

Whimsy/Sylvia Zet Christmas Card

A WHIMSY STAMPS/SYLVIA ZET CHRISTMAS CARD

 

I made this card in reds and blues to create a warm atmosphere for Winter.

It's slightly different to my other cards. In a good way I hope.

The image is hand painted, using distress inks on watercolour paper.

 

Her earmuffs, the fur on her boots and the ice she stands on are crystal glittered.

The sentiment and image is layered onto mirror card, with an added holly charm on the sentiment.

The lace is rich guipure, so pretty and the die cuts and doilies echo its beauty.

Tiny pine cones and berries decorate the holly leaves, with gesso snow on the flowers.

The inside is fully decorated with a clear place for a greeting.

 

It will be on eBay at the end of the week.

Magnolia Tilda With Poinsattia Basket

 This is a Friday post, because I thought yesterday was Saturday and put all my cards on eBay a day early!

I woke up today thinking it was Sunday...those of you who now me will realise this behaviour is quite normal for me. The words Fairy and Away With, come to mind, ha-ha.

Because of this mistake, I have another card to share.

 

This is Tilda With A  Basket Of Poinsettias

 

 

Lots of things going on here. Sometimes I don't know when to stop and I'm quite aware of that. As usual I painted this Magnolia Tilda stamp with distress inks on watercolour paper. The holly leaves are made with Marianne Dies, the shape with GoKreate, and others are Joy Craft. I gathered some of my special lace on this card, shhhh...its reserved for special cards only. I don't want to run out!

The birds at the top are dusted with Glamour Dust so they twinkle.

The little tags are held with bakers twine and paper doilies surround the card.

 

The flowers are mixed, by myself and I added Winter berries and 'cones', that I collected from the trees in Lanzarote. They are a perfect size for cards .

 

Hopefully I will know that tomorrow is Sunday, but you never know.

Good Morning From Dreary Kent

where the sky is heavy and threatening rain....plus....

the fireworks started yesterday for Diwali, so I have had two scared dogs to console AND I expect this will go on until after Christmas. Moaning me today!

 

Here is another Magnolia Christmas card. This time Tilda has her Winter coat on, 'cos it's snowing...hence going overboard with the Glamour Dust. Ha-ha.

So this picture isn't very clear. Will change it later. The dies are Marianne, flowers are Wild Orchid Craft and I have added a little gesso here and there.

Tilda was painted with distress inks and the card was cut using Go-Kreate dies.

Lace, mitt's, pearls and bakers twine.

Flowers, pearls, die cuts and the sentiment.

Skating Tilda

Good Morning Friends and Magnolia Fans.

 

I'm back from a two week break in The Dominican. Of course I started painting as soon as I got back. It's part of who I am and I will be lost without it.

 

This is today's Christmas card and it's made into an easel.

 

All the dies used are Magnolia, but the wooden sentiment and skates were bought on line last year and decorated by me. The lace, doilies and flowers are from my stash and all papers are from Maja Design. I rarely use anything else..love the vintage feel to them.

Once again, Tilda has been painted with distress inks on watercolour paper and glittered.

 

The base has a tag, cut from a Magnolia die and it opens up for a Christmas greeting.

It has the same glittered ribbon, a diamanté snowflake and touches of gesso for snow.

 

Now the whole card.

Good Morning

 

There's a nip in the air this morning. No doubt that Autumn has arrived, and the heating is on. I am going to bore you now, with yet another Christmas card.

This one uses an older stamp, Tilda with Rudolph. I still use it a lot because it is so cute.

 

 

She has been painted with distress ink, mounted, and inked on the edges. I also glittered some snow flakes and added tiny pearls to the centres. This is a closer view of the image.

 

 

Glittered hat, trim and Rudolph's tum, but my camera doesn't capture it well.

there are so many elements to this card, it's impossible to mention them all. Most of the diecuts are Magnolia and I have used lacy paper doilies in the background.

 

The lace holds a snowy fence from which Tilda's glittery ice-skates hang from beads.

And a double bow of seam binding has a diamanté and pearl embellishment.

 

And last of all, here is a picture of the flowers, berries and cones.
